Join our lab as undergraduate volunteers to gain hands-on experience in neuroimaging research

About the Role

Hello FIU Panthers! The CNBD Lab is actively recruiting motivated undergraduate volunteers to join us as soon as possible. Students with backgrounds in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, psychology, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have strong interest in neuroimaging, computation, and brain disorders research.

Eligibility

Candidates for this position in the CNBD Lab must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, cognitive neuroscience, electrical engineering, psychology, computer science, or a related field.
  • A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale until now.

Suggested Coursework:

Applicants are encouraged to have completed coursework with proficiency (B average or above) in mathematics and science. Advanced courses in Signal processing, Computer science, Biology, chemistry, and physiology, are highly recommended.

Nice to Have

  • Prior knowledge in neuroimaging
  • Experience in programming: Python, Shell, R, Matlab
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish (if planning to conduct clinical research projects)
